CMDC 622 — Current Trends in Multilingual Digital Communication

Theoretical and practical exploration of the principles, techniques, challenges and trends of digital and online communication in a global context, with a focus on multilingual contexts. Examination of the role of multilingual digital communication as it relates to or is influenced by online and technological trends. Overview of digital communication platforms for different locales, and outline of the content created for each. Analysis of the role and use of machine translation and other artificial intelligence (AI)- driven applications in multilingual digital communication.
