COMP 606 — Teaching Computer Science in Higher Education

Topics include science and psychology of learning, active versus passive learning, student-centered pedagogy, constructivism. Practical skills include lesson planning, assessment design, effective use of varied instructional techniques. Considerations of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), ethics, and generative AI. All topics are contextualized within computer science.
