EPIB 635 — Statistical Design of Clinical Trials

Statistical design of clinical trials with a focus on modern and complex designs including adaptive and multi-arm trials. Topics include clinical trials definitions and terminology, study protocol, primary and secondary goals and relevant hypotheses, conventional randomized clinical trials, randomization techniques, sample size and power, group sequential designs, Bayesian statistics in clinical trials, interim analysis and stopping rules, effect heterogeneity in clinical trials and information borrowing in clinical trials.
