PPOL 400 — Evaluation Planning and Practice

Planning evaluations of programs, policies, services and other activities through experiential learning. Specific evaluation techniques include: collaborative engagement of interest holders in real-world organizations, the use of culturally responsive evaluation processes, strengthening evaluation capacity in organizations, logic modelling, designing evaluation questions, selecting a study design, establishing criteria of merit, and communicating evaluative insights. Emphasis is on designing an evaluation based upon the specific needs and interests of a real-world organization to produce actionable findings that have the potential to promote a more equitable and just society.
