SWRK 618 — Le Savoir-être in Direct Practice
An experiential, clinical seminar focused on social workers' and couple and family therapists' relationship to self (self-awareness, self-regulation, self-reflexivity) and relationship to others (empathy, mentalization, cultural humility). Topics include nervous system regulation, emotion regulation, mentalization, and current approaches to direct practice. Links drawn between these skill areas and practice with individuals, families and communities.
